According to Ayurveda back pain is caused due to the inappropriate behaviour of the doshas which follows
Vata Dosha: The vitiation of Vata dosha causes variable, migrating pain which is throbbing and intense. It results from overuse of muscles, stress, travel, non-movement, etc.
Pitta Dosha: The vitiation of Pitta dosha causes steady burning, lancing pain. It results from inflammation, shock, excessive anger, etc.

After the process back and spine area is massaged. It will be a course of 5 to 7 days as recommended by an Ayurvedic doctor.
Meru Chikitsa: ‘Meru’ means ‘spine’ and ‘chikitsa’ means ‘treatment.’ Meru chikitsa have been developed thousands of years back which is ancient ayurvedic treatment therapy. It deals with back pain related problems to the spine and its structures. This therapy activates the organs, through pressure or massage on the nerve channels.
